SMM concluded, last week, the mechanical erection of the biggest terminal of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Europe.
This project, in Dunkerque, north of France, which had the duration of 3 years, allowed the construction of three tanks of 190.000 m3 each.
In the construction of these cryogenic tanks, which store liquefied gas, steel alloy with 9% of nickel is used. SMM is considered the leading European player in erection this type of tanks which allows it to own a deep knowledge and extensive experience in welding high-alloy steel.
The participation in this project reinforces the European leading position of SMM on the erection of cryogenic tanks.
